Replaced a rare, blown diesel with a modern engine that had no like-for-like fit — 3D scanned the engine bay, then designed and laminated custom G10 shims to set engine angle and height. Used glass beads in the epoxy to control bond line thickness and prevent squeeze out.
View projectNine-month restoration of a rusted-through 4X4 JDM van — cut out the entire center roof section, mitigated hard-to-reach subframe corrosion, welded in new sheet metal, rebuilt the front axles and suspension, and upgraded the brakes to dual-piston. It turned out to be one of the cleanest examples of these beloved vans in North America.
View projectDesigned and machined an extended sliding door hinge for the Mitsubishi Delica community, where oversized tires stop the stock door from clearing the rear wheel. Prototyped the highest-risk interface first, and designed it considering the constraints of the Tormach PCNC 440 and available fixturing.
